A Great Way to Think Abundance
You hate it when someone sneezes and doesn’t cover their mouth. You hate it when you forget to set your alarm and oversleep. You hate it when you disappoint your spouse by making the wrong decision. You hate it when it rains on your only day off. You hate it when your favorite team loses a game they should have won. You hate it when you buy something and it doesn’t live up to its proclaimed value. You hate it when you speak to someone in the morning and they don’t speak back. You hate it when you eat something that doesn’t sit well in your stomach. You hate it when you pull a muscle while trying to exercise and stay healthy.
Hate a Lot
Have you gotten the picture? It seems as though you may hate a lot. Let’s take a minute to explore how you may be feeling right now after thinking about all those things you hate. Odds are very high that you don’t feel good thinking about all those things. After all you did say you hate those things. Hate is a very strong word but even if you replaced it with disliked you still wouldn’t feel any better. You see all of those things as negative and negativity does not feel good. You have my sincere apologies for taking you to this bad place.
Let’s try something different.
You love the way you look in your favorite suit or dress. You love the way it feels to be appreciated by the one you love. You love it when you have a day off and get to pamper yourself for a change. You love to travel. You love to have money in the bank. You love it when a stranger smiles at you or makes you laugh for no reason at all. You love the smell of the flowers in the spring. You love it when a plan comes together. You love a good joke. You love it when your doctor gives you a clean bill of health after your annual physical. You love to walk barefoot. You love a good deal on something you’ve purchased. You love to talk to people. You love to spend time by yourself. You love a great dinner at a nice restaurant. You love to receive gifts.
Love a Lot
Here is another picture. It seems as though you may love a lot. Let’s take another minute to explore how you may be feeling right now after thinking about all the things you love. Odds are very high that you are feeling really good right now thinking about those things. After all you did say you loved those things. You see all those things as positive and positivity feels good. You can thank me later for taking you to this good place. The best way to thank me is to continue going to this good place often.
What you have just experienced is a small window into the power of thinking. None of the things mentioned above actually happened at this moment. All you did was think about them. That thinking made you feel a certain way. When you finish this article you will continue going about your day and either have success or not in the things you want to accomplish. Some of you will encounter the things you hate and others will encounter the things you love. Both of them are possible and it all depends on how you think.
What Is Your Choice?
Reality is you get to choose what you think. You get to choose what you hate and you get to choose what you love. You will have abundant opportunities to do so. What do you think you will choose? Do you remember how you felt when you thought about all the things you hated? Compare that to how you felt when you thought about all the things you loved? You are in control of your life. Which one do you desire to feel? It is without question the way you felt about the things you loved. What a wonderful power to have to be able achieve your desire and feel that way whenever you want.
Yes the realist in you is saying but you are also going to encounter the things that you hate. That is life. It is unavoidable. Yet you won’t encounter them an abundant amount of times. That is only possible if you hate an abundant amount of things. Those people definitely exist and those people are miserable. You have my sincere apologies if that is you but it is true. Miserable people hate a lot of things. That is the reason they are so miserable.
A Great Experience
Happy people not only love a lot of things but they get to experience them too. Of course they experience them because they have abundant opportunities to do so. The more things you love the more opportunity you get to experience that love. You can love blue carpet and you’ll see a lot of blue carpet. You can love a cool breeze and you get one from a fan in the corner. You can love people and get to be around people often. The more you love the more you can experience love.
My reminder to you is to Think Abundance. In this case that reminder is challenging you to think of all the things you love or could love. Appreciate the little things and love them. Heighten your awareness as you walk down the street and notice all the things you love. Look at that beautiful little baby in the stroller and love the cute smile on its face. Look at the car parked in the parking lot and love how clean the owner keeps it. When you get to work love the fact that you are trusted to do the work placed in front of you. There are so many things you can love if you just open your mind to think abundantly about love.
Do this for a few minutes or a few days and you will see the benefit. You will feel the energy of love flowing through you. Instead of feeling miserable you will feel alive. You will love your life regardless of any extenuating circumstances. You will exercise the power of your thinking in a way that benefits you greatly. Go out and love your world and do it abundantly. Exercise your power to Think Abundance about the things you love and your life will get better in an instant. As always I wish you the best and remind you to enjoy the journey.
With gratitude,
Drew
